Not sure about something regarding our programs, charity or coffee shop? Want to donate but don’t know how to? Find answers to some of the questions you may have regarding Youth Opportunity Union here. We’ve addressed some of the most common ones below, but if something still isn’t clear feel free to contact us. We’ll be happy to assist you in any way possible.

Is Cafe YOU Covid safe?

Yes! We have the track and trace ready to scan, a one way system, plenty of hand sanitiser and our staff wear face masks to serve. Cafe YOU is ready to return with table service to ensure maximum safety when we are able to open and we also offer take away services! We keep on top of regulation changes and work with both environmental health and the NHS staff in the building to ensure everyones safety.

Is Cafe YOU dog friendly?

YES! Our very own French bulldog Betty loves the beach and meeting new people, so we understand the importance of being able to bring your pooch along for a coffee! We are ideally located by the beach opposite a car park so you can grab a convenient take out for your walkies or enjoy a relaxed cuppa to warm up afterwards! Either way your furry companion is welcome, and we even provide a complimentary Betty Biscuit from our dog to yours! Pawfect!

How can I donate and where does the money go?

You can donate to us via this website or simply by leaving a tip when you visit us, we also value your time and expertise so if you have spare time to volunteer even as a one off, please get n touch!
All donations large and small are gratefully received and the money is used to fund educational opportunities, course fees and resources for our learners.

What happens when the courses come to an end?

YOU are committed to transition and future planning, all of our learners are given advice and guidance on next steps as a minimum. We are able to support moving on to bigger and better things through interview practice, CV and application writing and will provide references. We want our learners to continue to achieve after they leave us, and we always want to hear how well they are doing when they move on!
